"Sympathy" is the same as the album cut, but the presence of "Devil's High Concern", a non-album cut, is the reason you need this single. It's a great song, and it's a real shame it never made it on their debut album. For such a short piece, I really love the organ work from Graham Field and electric piano from David Kaffinetti. Steve Gould is a great vocalist, as far as I'm concerned, and while not as wild as Arthur Brown, he too was very much a soul-influenced vocalist. More great news for those who don't collect vinyl: the Esoteric CD reissue of their debut features "Devil's High Concern", which makes the purchase of that CD essential.
